GPS Health Savings Account

To qualify for an HSA account, you must be covered by a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), which satisfies both annual deductible and an out-of-pocket expense limit. HSA accounts are generally not allowed with any health plan that is not an HDHP, and HSAs are not allowed if you are enrolled in Medicare or are claimed as dependents on another person’s tax return.

  • Opening balance of $50
  • $2 Monthly service fee if daily balance falls below $50
  • Interest compounded and credited to your account monthly
  • Visa® debit card

Individuals and families covered under a high-deductible health plan can deposit pre-tax money into a Health Savings Account, and use it to pay for doctor’s visits, eyeglasses or other qualified medical expenses, tax-free.

Qualified medical expenses include expenses incurred on behalf of the HSA owner, spouse, or dependent after an HSA has been established. The expenses cannot be covered by any health plan and must be paid by the HSA owner, spouse or dependent. Consult your tax advisor regarding the tax benefits of the HSA product.
